Car accidents are stressful; the aftermath shouldn’t be. We’ve partnered with car insurance company HiRoad to give customers more options while their vehicle is in for repair.

After a car accident, there are a number of things that might be going through your head. How you’ll get to work? Pick up the kids from school? Figuring out how to get your daily tasks done while your car is being repaired should not be one of them.

Customers of Rhode Island-based HiRoad now have another option to get back moving faster when an accident happens.

If they’re involved in an accident that sends their car for repairs, a customer can now choose to use Uber to get a ride instead of relying on a rental car during the claims process.

If they choose Uber, they will receive a daily credit of up to $40 on their existing Uber account.

The Uber credit can be used toward rides wherever customers would normally use their car, from the morning school run to shopping, dining, and beyond.

“We know getting into an accident is a stressful situation, and we found that one of the biggest pain points was getting around while your car is in the shop being repaired. This integration with Uber enables you to get where you need to go without any hassle,” said HiRoad’s VP of Insurance Blake Konrardy.

“This is one of the ways we’re going beyond what has been done before to give our customers the best experience possible,” said Konrardy.

That’s where we share a common mission. This partnership with HiRoad is a great example of how businesses across the globe are tapping into the power of Uber’s technology to get work done, from customer rides to employee business travel, and beyond. Not just offering a convenient way to arrange trips, but delivering a great user experience at the same time.
