Tips for a successful Fourth of July

We’re thrilled to be the official rideshare partner of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) Summer 4th—the place to be for Independence Day celebrations and fireworks. 
To help you connect with thousands of riders attending the day-long festivities, we’ve created an Uber pickup and dropoff zone at Gas Works Park.
Tips for picking up and dropping off riders on July Fourth at Gas Works Park

How to enter
- The only entrance into the neighborhood is on the intersection of 6th Ave NE and N Northlake Way
- There will be one lane reserved for Uber driver-partners
- Make sure your Uber “U” sticker is visible for easy entry. Traffic controllers will be checking to make sure your sticker is visible
Waiting lot details
- 90 parking spots will be available and located on Northlake Way between Meridian Ave and Corliss Ave. Keep your vehicles facing southbound
- You must be online and ready for a trip once you are in the queue. If you log off the app, you will not be allowed to pick up from the pickup/dropoff zone
Pickup information
- Our zone will have a first in, first out (FIFO) system. The FIFO system only works within the designated, geofenced area, and driver-partners waiting elsewhere will not receive trip requests through the Uber Driver app
- Once you are matched with a rider, let them know they can find you in row A
How to exit
- Use the the southbound lane on Northlake Way to make a u-turn and head back north on Northlake Way
Road closures to avoid
- All roads south of 40th are closed except 6th Ave N
  
  All roads east of Stone Way are closed
  
  Do not drop off riders on Stone Way—it is designated for transit use only

How to get to the pickup and dropoff zone at Gas Works Park

While we have an official Uber pickup and dropoff zone in the Gas Works Park area for the July 4th celebrations, we also expect high demand in nearby areas on Wednesday, July 4 from 8pm – midnight.
