Choose a Safe Ride in Nevada

June 28, 2016 / Reno

About one in three traffic deaths in the United States involve a drunk driver. Between 2009 and 2013, 341 people lost their lives and 780 were seriously injured in impaired driving crashes on Nevada roadways. There is a lot of room for improvement. And we believe if we bring together our state’s leaders, organizations, and local community members, we can work to make local roads safer– especially late at night. We are proud of announce that the Nevada Department of Public Safety and Uber have committed to work toward a state where a safe, reliable ride is always within reach and drunk driving crashes become a thing of the past. Choose Uber as a safe ride home this event season. We’ve teamed up with the Nevada Department of Public Safety to reduce DUI’s. Don’t drink and drive, take Uber instead.

RIDING TOWARD A SAFER FOURTH, TOGETHER

This July Fourth, Uber is joining the Department of Public Safety’s Zero Fatalities Campaign to promote safe rides throughout the holiday weekend. Zero Fatalities is all about eliminating fatalities on our roadways. This holiday if you are a new user, consider the first ride on us! Use the promo code JULY4NV for a free first ride up to $15. For every promo code application, $5 will be donated back to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. In addition, during the campaign, $1 will be donated to MADD for every Uber ride taken to or from all PT’s Entertainment Group taverns, including all Southern Nevada PT’s, Sierra Gold and Sean Patrick’s locations.
