We’re excited to announce the first step toward building the future of urban air mobility and transforming urban aviation: Uber Copter.
Uber Copter is available for booking Monday through Friday from 2pm-6pm ET.
When and where Uber Copter is available
Uber Copter is available for booking Monday through Friday from 2-6pm ET, for trips between Manhattan and JFK International Airport. Book a seamless, multimodal journey—including an Uber ride to and from the heliports—with just a few taps.
Get picked up or dropped off anywhere in Manhattan below 110th Street. There are also additional areas in Brooklyn that you may book your ride for pick up or drop off—just check your app for the latest availability.
If your journey is starting and ending within our designated zone, you’ll see Copter as an option in your Uber app.
Simply set your pickup and drop-off locations—one in Manhattan and the other at JFK airport—to see Copter’s windows of availability and pricing.
How to use Uber Copter
You can request to book your trip directly in the Uber app. A single tap of a button can get you access to a ride with Uber from your pickup location to the heliport, a helicopter flight, and a ride from the heliport to your destination.
Why Uber Copter
- Safety is a top priority–all flights are operated by our partner, HeliFlite, a licensed FAA/DOT direct air carrier. HeliFlite has earned ARGUS Platinum and Wyvern Wingman safety ratings, both of which are awarded after an audit of an operator’s safety programs. Heliflite operates twin-engine, dual-piloted aircraft, and all of their pilots are instrument-rated.
- HeliFlite has an established Safety Management System in place for its operations. This system employs a data-driven approach to accident prevention by incorporating trend analysis and robust hazard reporting.
- You can save time–Uber Copter can change the way you travel, offering door-to-door airport trips designed so you can spend less time stressed and even less time in traffic.
- Enjoy a seamless experience–Taking flight can be as simple as ordering a ride. Just open your Uber app, choose when you want to leave, and select the number of seats you need. Uber will do the rest.

Uber is an indirect air carrier serving as a Part 295 air charter broker. Uber is not a direct air carrier and does not operate flights. All flights are operated by HeliFlite Shares, LLC or by other FAA/DOT-licensed direct air carriers.
