1. The Abbey Food & Bar

2. Good Times at Davey Wayne’s

The funky decor at Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is 1970s thrift-store chic and is a source of entertainment in itself. Good Times features a cozy outdoor space with indoor-outdoor grass carpeting, lemon- and lime-colored pillows, and a vintage Airstream trailer bar. The cocktails are as fashionable as the decor, including a range of slushy drinks that’ll tickle your tongue and keep you cool.

3. The Rooftop Bar at the Standard Downtown

Enjoy a night with good friends at The Rooftop at The Standard, offering eye-popping views of downtown LA and the mountains beyond. The Rooftop features a heated swimming pool, outdoor fireplace, waterbed pods, and cleverly shaved topiary. Live DJs spin tunes nightly, inviting you onto the outdoor dance floor to groove beneath the stars.

4. Exchange LA

Exchange LA is closed Sunday through Thursday, so plan a post-holiday meetup here Friday night. This enormous nightclub covers 4 levels in the former LA Stock Exchange building. If you’re not up for dancing, hole up at a table on one of the levels overlooking the dance floor, where you can order up rounds of delicious drinks and lay low with your besties.

5. Doheny Room

This glamorous spot celebrates old-school Hollywood and offers American fare with a hip, international twist.
