We’re teaming up with Volunteer Florida once again for Suits for Session, where you can donate your professional clothing—without leaving your neighborhood.
On Tuesday, February 27 from 9am-5pm, we’ll pick up your gently used professional clothing items for free and deliver them to Volunteer Florida. The clothing will then be donated to organizations including the Chapman Partnership in Miami, Dress for Success Tampa Bay, ECHO Outreach Ministries in Tallahassee, Bridges of America in Orlando, and the Florida State University Unconquered Scholars program. These donations will help with job placement opportunities and support hundreds of professionals in the Tallahassee community and across the state.
Start your spring cleaning by supporting a great cause, and turn your new or gently used clothing into a career opportunity for someone else.
How it works:
Bag your unwanted professional clothes, like old suits, jackets, shirts, and pants
Open the Uber app between 9am and 5pm on Tuesday, February 27
Enter your current location in the WHERE TO field
Slide the vehicle selector at the bottom of the screen to the GIVE option
Tap the GIVE button, then tap CONFIRM
If you’re matched with a driver, meet him or her curbside to drop off your donations
- All clothing must be bagged for drivers to accept donations
- Drivers can’t leave their vehicles unattended—please meet them curbside with your donations
- Donors may also bring clothing to the Volunteer Florida display on the plaza level of the Florida State Capitol
- Demand may be high, so please be patient. If no cars are available, we suggest trying back a little later
