The Driver app is built for you and with you. As part of our commitment to building together, select drivers around the globe are invited to test new features, give feedback, and help shape the future of the Uber app through the Driver App Beta Program.

Drivers who sign up to participate in the program can download the test version of the Driver app, called the beta Driver app, to give their feedback on new features. To participate in the Driver App Beta Program, we’ll provide your email address to Apple so that you can download the beta Driver app on your device.

How to download the
beta Uber Driver app

You’ll get an email from TestFlight within 1 – 2 business days with instructions on how to download the beta Driver app. See below for details. 

  1. Follow the link in the email you get from TestFlight with the subject line “Uber Technologies, Inc. has invited you to test new features in the beta Driver app” to open TestFlight on your phone.
  2. After you download and open TestFlight, a screen will appear with instructions. Save the invitation code provided in step 3 of the instructions—you’ll need this for the next step.
  3. Tap the link in the TestFlight instructions to open TestFlight in the app store.
  4. Tap Redeem in the upper-right corner, enter your invitation code, and tap Redeem again.
  5. Open the beta Driver app and start testing right away. 

You’ll receive 10 Uber Pro points once you download the beta Driver app. The points will be posted to your account by the end of August.

How to give feedback

With just a few taps in the app, you can report a bug—anything that appears to be wrong and isn’t working as it should be.

How it works

  1. When you see a bug while using the app, tap the bug icon to take a screenshot.
  2. When you’re done driving and you’re ready to report the bug, head to Account and tap Bug Reporter.
  3. Go to Pending issues and select the bug you want to report.
  4. Give the bug a title and explain the issue under Tell us more about your issue.
  5. Tap Issue Category to select the type of bug.
  6. Tap Submit to send your report.

A few things to remember

  • Tapping the bug icon only screenshots the bug—it does not report it. You must manually submit your bug to report it. 
  • Once you’ve successfully reported a bug, it will no longer appear under Pending Issues. 
  • Please remember to use the beta app to report any bugs and to download new versions as they become available.
  • The best part of the Driver Beta Program, you’ll earn 10 Uber Pro points each month you participate.
