Hot places and times to deliver

Delivery partners who go online around lunch and dinner experience less time between requests, especially as we head towards the weekend.

During the week, the busiest times tend to be:

  • Weekdays between 11:00am and 2:00pm, especially near the CBD and business centres.

  • Weekdays between 5:30pm and 8:30pm, both in the CBD and in the suburbs.

Demand on the Uber Eats app peaks on the weekends:

  • Friday and Saturday nights between 5:00pm to 10:00pm, most of the demand comes around your city’s main restaurant and nightlife hotspots.

  • Saturday and Sunday between 9:00am to 3:00pm, demand usually spikes over brunch and continues through lunch.

  • Sunday all day, demand usually spikes at lunch and dinner but is generally busier than any weekday afternoon.

Discover the busiest areas to drive

Higher-earning delivery partners told us they head towards the areas with high restaurant demand. This varies from city to city, so it helps to know where the restaurant hotspots are in your area.

Check the weather forecast

The highest-earning delivery partners often go online during periods when people prefer to eat in instead of eating out. When it’s too hot, cold, or rainy to eat out, people tend to order in.

Even though you may receive more requests during this type of weather, it’s important that you prioritise your own safety first and consider whether going online to deliver is safe. Be sure to read our tips on riding or driving safely.

Plan your week ahead

A little forward planning can go a long way in making your delivery-partner experience more organised and more profitable. Take into account what’s happening around your city and you can better plan your breaks around the expected quiet times.

Consider the following when planning your week:

活动

What’s happening that might cause an influx of potential orders or potential traffic closures (e.g. sporting events on TV, Lunar New Year Celebrations, etc.).

Down time

If you have been online for 12 hours over the course of a day without an uninterrupted 8 hour break, the Fatigue Management feature will take you offline for 8 hours so you can rest. Pre-planning your breaks helps you make most of the time you’re delivering.

Public Holidays

Long weekends and short working weeks are a good excuse for people to take it easy and order in.
