Uber School Terms of Use

1. Contractual Relationship.

These terms apply to your use of the Services by you and/or your child in connection with Uber School. Terminology in these Uber School Terms of Use (“School Terms”) that is not otherwise defined has the meanings in the General Terms of Use (the “Terms”).

These School Terms govern you and your child’s access and use of applications, websites, content, products, and services (the “Services”) made available by Uber B.V. (“Uber”) that enable you and/or your child to request school pick ups and drop offs (“School Trips”) to designated addresses that will be completed by independent third party providers of transportation services who have an agreement with Uber or its affiliates (“Third Party Providers”) (collectively “Uber School”).

You acknowledge that you have reviewed the Teen Account Terms of Use available here (“Teen Terms”) with your child, and on behalf of your child, you agree to those Teen Account Terms of Use. You also understand that should you wish for your child to no longer have access to their Teen Account or Uber School, you are responsible for revoking their access by removing them from your Uber Family profile.

These School Terms are supplemental terms to the Terms and the Teen Terms. This means where you and/or your child choose to use Uber School to request School Trips from Third Party Providers, the Teen Terms shall apply in addition to these School Terms

2. Access and Use of Uber School

This section sets out rights and obligations that apply to your use of Uber School. These terms apply in addition to any other rights or obligations set out in the Terms and Teen Terms.

2.1 Consent and Child’s Participation

By requesting a trip using Uber School or permitting your child to request a trip using Uber School, you attest that you have legal authority to act on the child’s behalf, and have conferred with any other parent or legal guardian of the child, if and where required under applicable law.

Where your child is between the ages of 8 and 11, you agree and acknowledge that by requesting a trip using Uber School or permitting your child to request a trip using Uber School, you provide consent for your child to take a trip unaccompanied by a chaperone using Uber School.

You agree that only your child and any authorised accompanying chaperone may access the Services for School Trips.

You agree that only you and your child using a Teen Account may access the Services for School Trips. YOUR CHILD MUST HAVE A MOBILE DEVICE FOR ALL SCHOOL TRIPS WHERE YOU REQUEST THE SERVICES ON THE CHILD’S BEHALF.

2.2 Minor guests (children 8-17 years old without a Teen Account and not opted-in by their parents) are not permitted to ride on School Trips.

2.3 You are fully responsible for ensuring that the Teen Account is only used for authorized purposes.

3. Termination and Changes to Uber School

You acknowledge and agree that Uber School will be made available by Uber on a temporary basis. Accordingly, Uber may, in its sole discretion, discontinue Uber School at any time. Uber reserves the right to modify the Uber School product or the terms and conditions for use of Uber School at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be communicated to users of the Uber School product.

By accepting these School Terms, you agree to be bound by these School Terms.
