thanks a lot man, i really appreciate it! those girls and the dad were actually in the front row and i was in the photo pit, so i was lucky that wyclef went there out of the millions of other rows there were in the ACC ... i was just waiting there in the pit with my camera for him to step into the frame and i took that one shot and got exactly what i wanted! i really enjoyed looking through your pictures too, there's a lot i really like!! anyways, thanks for checking out my work and i hope to see some more pictures from you!! ciao.
each one is different, of course, but on the whole i tend to enjoy it.
you know what this means. that right, a photoblog post about concerts and various thoughts on shooting them (this is long one, but i promise it's more photos than writing!)
been a few weeks since my last post so figured i'd post some more of my medium-format shots i shot with by rolleiflex back when i took my road trip around america in 2007
here's my ma, in her wedding dress, a few days before her wedding to my dad, back in vicksburg, ms in 1973
they actually got married on may 19th of that year.
she was 21 and my dad was 20
and, come to find out, back then, if you were under 21 you had to get your parents/guardians permission to get married. if you didn't and you got married anyway, the parents could have it annulled and you couldn't do anything about it. so my dad had to ask his mom and dad for permission to marry my mom. heh, ma still laughs about that)
always liked this photo of my ma.
so, of course, i chose it for her Mother's Day Post
