Actress Venda D'Abato lives and breathes independent film! Formerly a producer and assistant director in Philadelphia, Venda spent many days on set wishing she was in front of the camera instead of behind it. So, she strategically relocated to her home state of Texas to pursue an acting career where she could fine tune her craft, and three years later that she has! Currently Venda spends most of her time in Shreveport, Louisiana where she is working towards expanding her career into SAG pictures of mainstream Hollywood. Venda is represented exclusively by Acclaim Talent. Her most recent film credits include the independent films What is Gothic?, 101 Secrets, and The Innocence Saga. The 2008 festival circuit is off and running with the independent film "Hardball: All Balls Don't Bounce" in the Action on Film International Film Festival this July. Venda co-stars in the film as Karina, a young Russian woman sold into sex slavery in the United States. In addition to her budding film career, Venda D'Abato co-owns Vis-a-Vis Studios in Austin, TX with business partner Amberlin Cross. The two plan on building a strong foundation over the next few years as they develop projects locally, with a studio mentality for the future in mind. This young actress has only just begun to show the industry her talents! Venda is easily understood by the motto she lives by: "Great things come with great sacrifice."
