I'm really not much of a blogger, yet I do blog, and have blogs all over the net. And I find it difficult to come up with the very first blog entry. Blogging seems like an online requirement these days.
So yeah.
Anyways, thanks to Chris Weeks for whoring about this Uber in his journal over at DA. It seems pretty neat, definitely a different vibe you get compared to other networking sites.
I like that you can browse through submitted photos instead of just profile based. And customization is perdy darn convenient. Still figuring out this site though.
I now have... *counts on fingers* nearly a dozen blog-type accounts scattered around the net... of which I use one regularly (dA) and a few others sporadically. Just not enough hours in the day. *shrug*
I've just signed up to Facebook, mainly to check it out, also my sister is on there now, she's been drawn into the social networking scene by friends at her college (she's graduating next month). Dunno if I'll be using it a load... sadly, I didn't find anybody I knew from my old Uni or school. :(
ill put my very first comment on uber, on your first blog. requirement you wrote.. i really don't like those type of 'requirements' so why did you wrote it in the end? nice gallery!
I guess it was bound to happen to someone at some point, but it's always a bit odd when it happens to you, eh? I'm not Josh76 - I have two accounts gfxpunk being my digital and darkchocolade my film. Both names i vaguely regret =P The neg scanner that I have is such awful quality that I don't even bother with it- I have a darkroom that I can currently use - though I won't be able to over summer, which is a shame. Not sure what I'm going to do about that It was Sev/Chris/Cha/Bernhard who got me into film as well - made me look at Cartier bressons and all and buy a Leica M6. Bastards! Haha.
Thanks for the add, it's been six years since I've left colledge. I only worked full time in Animation for six month's, before our industry in Ireland went south. I worked as a backdrop artist, so I applied what I knew from photoshop to get jobs in photography post production. And thats what I've been doing ever since. I'm sure I could google some of the stuff I worked see if it's out there.
I was literally just looking at your Film stuff on dA - didn't realise you were into it until you mentioned it n your journal. Some good stuff here, cheers for the add.
