In a world dominated by cheap clones, SUDDYN are one of those rare groups that don’t sound like anyone but themselves. They have boldly orchestrated their own sound in a musical world that seems to have developed an allergy to the unique. They are the antithesis of every minimalist low fi indie top shop slop rock band that clogs the airwaves today.
SUDDYN have fought and continue to fight hard for their craft and their identity…….and the journey from CBGB’s NYC to Whelan’s Dublin has not been an easy one.

So what happens when 2 brothers from Montauk NY and 2 hometown friends from Clonmel Tipperary join forces?………Drawing inspiration from both sides of the pond, the resulting product is a sound that uniquely fuses together the emotional intensity and style of Radiohead, the anthrock of U2, and the baroque drama of Queen.

Their first single "Drowning Souls" was a top 10 hit for two weeks in Ireland, cresting at number 8 and launching the anthemic rock sound SUDDYN is known for. "Drowning Souls" became a worldwide selling ring tone and carved a place in history for SUDDYN as one of Irelands Best Selling Unsigned Acts! In the aftermath of this success, SUDDYN were featured artists on NME’s Top 20 Breaking Bands, Record of the Day and Hitquarters.com

Their follow up download single release, “Gravity” spent 4 weeks in the Irish charts, leading to significant airplay on both national and local stations (2 Fm, Spin 103.8 Fm, 98 Fm, 104 Fm, Spin South West, Radio Kerry etc) and earned them a place on the Ireland’s airplay charts.

SUDDYNs real strength lies in their live performance. They’ve had plenty of practise, having played over 150 shows since Feb 06 in the company of great bands like Boy Kill Boy, Shiny Toy Guns, The Films, Larrikin Love, Director and The Blizzards to name but a few. This combination of radio play and generous sprinkles of live performances across Ireland is paying off with a growing legion of fans and increased TV, radio and gig offers. SUDDYN are now preparing for their March release, again supported by an extensive national tour. The band is determined to keep this momentum going and further establishing their status as a "must be seen" band on the live music circuit. If latest events are any indication of what’s to come then the inevitable conclusion is that they are set for greatness…This band epitomizes what can be accomplished with a bit of blood sweat and tears on the battlefield and have won over an army of fans and the hearts of the critics in the process.
