Goodbye My Almost Lover
I'm in a process. One that involves forgiving and knowing myself while being able to forgive the people who have touched my life. It's quite hard and I don't know really how to get this one person to see that I really do want to be his friend. He was a huge part of my life for such as short stance, but it was definitely a lovely dance -- even if we didn't quite connect the way we meant to. I mean if you want a real relationship and the butterflies that go along with young love you have to try a lot harder that I did. I consumed his soul as much as he consumed mine and I miss him quite dearly. I still have his 4 page letter. Well actually a piece of it, the one I liked the most that was very personal and endearing. Plus, without him I wouldn't have the most beautiful little animal in my life and every time I see his whiskery face, I thank him each day and pray he knows that I love him. It's all I can do. I am discarding my ego and pride that have protected me for so long and learning to open up.
