When I read, Gogol Bordello made gypsy music, I expecting the slow and calm sounds of Beirut.
However, Gogol Bordello does make gyspy music don't expect anything like Beirut. His music is gypsy punk and sounds explosive. And is also full of high energy and fun.
"Lights out" the amazing song by Santogold from her debut album has a new video. Featuring cool printed backgrounds from black and white checkered too many more all-changing while Santogold is performing while her two dancers/singers sport white shades as usually. There is also this cool bow tie drummer in it. Check it out below.
Bat for Lashes has done a cover for the song "A Forest" by The Cure, the result is excellent. Sounding a little slower and dark, the song is filled with a spooky atmosphere that you would expect from Bat for Lashes. I love it.
The amazing Fleet Foxes performed on Letterman last night and played one of my favorite songs "Blue Ridge Mountains" from the debut album. And, they were amazing as usually. Video Below.
Lykke Li's early video "I'm Good, I'm Gone" was a fantastic video. Amazing stop-motion, strange dancing from various characters. Well, stop-motion is absent in this video However, Lykke Li does continue here love for dance in "Breaking It Up" where she wears heavy eye makeup and sports a look of seriousness, as she does what she loves to do. Dance. Check it out below.
Hey Sam! What's going on? Anyway, I spoke to the publisher today and we are now incapable to post music videos (you did reviews) due to a software upgrade. However, we think it would be really rad if you could do a few simple CD reviews (4-5 sentences, no big deal). Anyway, I would need it pretty soon (by the 10th... I know, sorry for the short notice but I just found this out as well) and I apologize. Please send a message with your answer. Xx, K
