Here is NYDems Chair June O'Neill's recent appearance on Uptown Radio, a project of the Columbia School of Journalism. Reporter Kyle Murphy spoke with both parties about strategies for this year's Congressional elections, following the big Democratic gains in 2006.
Last month, shortly after we posted the results of the February 5th Presidential Primary here in New York, we posted a preliminary list of the Pledged District Delegates and Alternates who had been elected to go to the Democratic National Convention in August. As you can still see on the site, we emphasized how preliminary the results were, because we knew that the numbers were based on uncertified election-night results, and didn’t include things like absentee and provisional ballots. We expected to see changes once the official totals were in.
NYDems Co-Chair Dave Pollak will be broadcast into over 5 million households in the tri-state area this evening, as a guest on RNN’s Richard French LIVE show, airing from 7 to 8 o’clock. That was how Democratic Senator Darrel Aubertine described what is happening in New York, after he won an election in his North Country district, where registered Republicans outnumber Democrats almost two-to-one. The victory brought Democrats within one seat of being the majority party in the State Senate.
