I need an intern/assistant. For those not familiar with what I do, I own the jewelry and accessory company Little Rooms (www.littlerooms.com). We’re based out of Los Angeles. Things are getting very busy in the office and I need some help.
This is a paying job
3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)
10am-5pm.
You must:
- Have a car and a valid driver’s license
- Know what you’re doing on a computer:
there will be a lot of typing, a knowledge in spreadsheets would also be useful.
- Have good communication skills:
you’ll be making and taking a lot of phone calls.
- Be organized
- Have a good attitude
I’m looking for someone with drive and motivation who will walk in each day with energy, ready to get things done. Someone with an interest in fashion and business. This is a really great opportunity to be a part of an awesome company and I need to know that the person I hire wants this with passion.
If things work out, there is the possibility of a full time position with benefits.
Yesterday was a very accomplishing day for Little Rooms. We got to see half of the new collection casted for the very first time. After I've spent months designing something and guiding it from conception to production, the feeling I get when I can finally slide that ring on my finger or put that necklace around my neck is extremely rewarding. A few months ago I was drawing jewelry ideas on Jill's hands, trying to figure out how to make certain pieces work. Within the next few weeks, all those pieces will become inventory in our office. I truly believe that I've designed a collection that a lot of women and men will feel beautiful and distinct wearing. I keep my designs very hush hush until I physically have them in my hands. Only a hand full of people have seen the sketches and renderings, and only Jill, myself, and our rockin' wax guy, have seen the finished pieces. I am very proud of this collection and can't wait to get it out in the world. and onto your body.
Today is a good day in the Little Rooms office. Today.... we begin production on the new collection. Get excited, because this line is going to be all over. The new collection is pretty top secret for now.. but here's a sneak peak into the little room where we make Little Rooms happen (gross):

Yes, I know this is a blog about little rooms, but since it is also a blog about me, I think the following can be deemed appropriate.. at least semi-appropriate. I've been taking up teaching myself how to cook and my latest endeavor is baking. For my first shot at baking cupcakes, I decided to take on one of the most complicated recipes.. Tiramisu Cupcakes! so, it's not intricate jewelry. BUT.. I am pretty proud of myself, I made them from scratch sans a mixer. Now the catering jobs keep pouring in, sorry guys, I was just bored in my kitchen. Oh.. PS. the cupcakes are vegan, though I don't usually tell anyone that until after they've given the taste seal of approval.
