bonjour mes amis! so, i've been on a super long summer hiatus, working all the time, but i'm back. today was the first day of school. same old, same old. my classes should be pretty good, so hopefully the year goes well. anyhow, i hope you all had a good summer, i'll put up some better posts soon!
i've been on a summer hiatus. working a lot. im going to take a break from this blog. i've been so busy, BUT i just bought an iMac, so, when it's all hooked up, blogging shall commence. i do have some photos from cheyenne's circus birthday for you all to look at though. oh yeah, and i went to colplay as well. they didn't play an encore :(
on the weekend, on my way home from work i came a across a fellow bike rider who asked me where the path would lead him. i was just minding my own business, about to go home to a lovely meal, when he told me to ride with him. i kept saying, "no, i need to study, exams, history, you know." but he would not take no for an answer. and somewhere, and something in my body felt like being spontaneous so i agreed to ride with him. we rode down by the lake, almost to 50 point. the water and landscape looked really nice, and i was actually really glad i biked with him. once we felt that our ride should come to an end, due to heat and hungry stomachs, we went our separate ways and headed home. i was so thankful he was not a creep at all. so if you ever see this, bike friend Tarik?, Tarek? i have no clue how to spell your name, but if you see this, thanks being totally un-creepy. that random act of spontaneity made my day. i loved it...and i got great exercise. sorry for worrying you mom and dad! love you!
when i got home, they posed the question of HOW COULD YOU DO THAT WITH A STRANGER? I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU DID THAT?! well, i couldn't really believe it either, but im happy i did it. i mean, people used to hitchhike all the time - get in a car with a stranger and travel the country - so why must it be so different now? i wish it was still a safe and care-free world where people could meet others and not feel threatened. it was harmless, and invigorating. good weekend:)
