Web Site We Heart: Uber.com

If you've got creative chops, it's time to get on and show us what you're made of!

How do we like to spend the odd free moment we get at work? Checking out artistic visionaries in the virtual world courtesy of Uber.com, an online playground dedicated to organizing the independent voices of the web into individual, easy-to-use interactive libraries. Members design their own 'Uber' space to connect, create and collaborate with other users, while showing off their own work to the best advantage. User-friendly tools like a drag-and-drop interface let 'Uber-ites' customize pages and create a home theater for their digital media without breaking a sweat. Translation: Even your mom could handle this.

So far the site has attracted Rev Run, Los Angeles art space LAXART, celebrity photographer Chris Weeks, and thousands of contemporary artists, documentary photographers, DJs and bands. Uber is also home to former Women's Wear Daily editor and current owner of designer-ista's paradise A+R stores, Rose Apodaca, and her fabulous fashion blog (love!), as well as the preferred showcase for many Gen Art alums, including one of L.A.'s hottest designers, celebrity fave Corey Lynn Calter.

And of course you can find us on there, too—Uber was the official online home of the 10th Annual Fresh Faces in Fashion 2007 event. Click here for a recap of the fabulous night, including links to the 12 emerging designers' profiles, event photos and a video gallery of interviews and runway shows.

So follow our lead, stop stalling and start making the magic happen. We can't wait to see what kind of talent you've got up your sleeves!
