Our heartfelt Prayers goes out to the Morris family. Darrine Morris was a pioneer in this industry! It is so crazy how death creeps upon us! I had spoken to Darrine at the "Kids Against Bullying & Violence" Community Fest! I was standing with Aliyah Liles and her daughter, Nadiyah when Darrine came and gave me a hug and said, "Congratulations! " He took our pictures and told me that he would be reaching out to me so that he can come to the Release Celebration. A couple of days before the Release, he emailed me to say that he couldn't make it but he wanted me to write and article and send him a picture.
WOW!!! I also spoke to him on the phone and he had given me great advice about dealing with the publishing industry! He was very supportive and I truly thanked him for his encouragement! I have worked with Darrine on a many occasions and I thanked him for his honesty and for who he was! I am feeling it today!!
Let us pray for his family and pray that people wake up to the fact that the Bible is true when it says you do not know what tomorrow will be. Live life for today and live it to its fullest potential! Be Blessed
It is amazing how GOD places stories within my Spirit! I received a call from my mother today telling me about Will and Jada Pickett-Smith's new school they are opening on September 3rd named New Village Academy. I told her that I had heard about the school and I read some things in Essence magazine. My mother told me that there were reports the school is linked to Scientology....WOW, at first I didn't want to believe the reports, but then I thought..here goes another one. If you read "The Battle For Your Mind" in the June Issue of IMPACT Magazine, we spoke about Scientology and how they were secretly using likeable celebrities status to endorse their secret "religion."
