I'm a Vietnamese-American teen based in the "Little Saigon" area of the OC. (Meaning, we don't have many wild parties or have outrageous drama... just plenty of rice and crazy drivers.) Since I live in an area that's predominantly Asian, I like to make friends with all sorts of people - expanding my horizons, you could say.
My main love is for oil painting and writing - but I've been trying to pick up photography as well. I spend most of my time reading, surfing the web, and chilling with the family. I also practice tae kwon do.
Wow, thats great! Where are you travelling? Im in sort of a short holidays, my exams have just finished, so Im like relaxtakeiteasyyy jaja. Im from Buenos Aires, Argentina, its freaking cold in here =S mmm.. I hate winter
aww good luck then. I'n not doing much, just staying at home, cause I've got a cold, it's raining and everything's flooding. haha, not the greatest weekend
This time tomorrow, I will be leaving the USA for one whole month while I take a trip around Asia - specifically, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. I'm really excited and can't wait to go. :]
(I'm not quite done packing all of my things yet, but no worries. I won't forget anything.)
In any case, I'm going to bring my camera and take tons of pictures. I'll have so many that I won't know what the heck to do with half of them. Which I think is why I love photography so much. ;]
The next time I post here, I'll be on another CONTINENT.
Title: Taichi's Sabotage Summary: Taichi isn't happy with Hikari's choice of boyfriend. So what else is an older brother supposed to try except sabotage? A Taichi-centric one-shot. Takari, with hints of Sorato. Disclaimer: This story is based on characters and situations created and owned by Akiyoshi Hongo, creator of the Digimon concept, as well as various broadcasting networks. No money is being made and no copyright or trademark infringement is intended. Author's Notes: I needed a laugh to distract me from Under the Surface, which is currently being uncooperative. As a result of my procrastination, which included bouncing between fandoms for good reads, I wrote this little one-shot. It is unbeta-ed, since I didn't want to bother Trisha with polishing this one up. It is also inspired by the sarcastic style of Miss Ras, who never fails to make me laugh. I tried to experiment with an 'economy of language' that is less descriptive than my usual way of writing. Please read and let let me know in a review if this style suits your reading taste!
(Also, I'm holding a poll on my FF.net profile page about opinions toward OC's. I would appreciate it if you dropped by just to have your say in the vote, as it may affect the way I plan future stories. Thank you!)
Title: Reaching that Happy Ending Summary: Shang has finally reached his happy ending. A one-shot fluffy Shulan. Disclaimer: This story is based on characters and situations created and owned by the Walt Disney Company. No money is being made and no copyright or trademark infringement is intended. Author's Notes: Apparently, I'm too wordy to ever manage a real drabble. And I don't know how to turn off the fluff once I get going either. Oh well. I apologize ahead of time if you feel nauseated by this, because it certainly made my beta-reader gag. Luckily, this hasn't made Trisha stop editing for me, though I think I may have to stay away from the fluff for a while... As always, please read and review!
Title: Four Years' Worth of Tries Summary: Four years is a long time, but Yamato and Sora are still struggling. A one-shot Sorato. Disclaimer: This story is based on characters and situations created and owned by Akiyoshi Hongo, creator of the Digimon concept, as well as various broadcasting networks. No money is being made and no copyright or trademark infringement is intended. Author's Notes: First, a huge thanks to Trisha for checking over this drabble-turned-short-story for me. Second, I think I should mention that, as an American, I'm not familiar with the Japanese honorifics. Rather than butchering them and possibly making a fool of myself, I dropped them altogether; I hope it doesn't bother too much. That said: please read, enjoy, and, if you're feeling particularly generous, leave a review. Thank you!
IRL: Wednesday night was graduation night, so I went to support our favorite seniors (Julie, Katie, and John rock!!).
By way of graduation presents, my friends and I are chipped in together to get them presents. I'm also making Julie a scrapbook page, with a watercolor painting and a poem that I'm going to write for her. For Katie, I made a scarf, since she's going away to Boston next year and will need it for the cold! And I bought a black shirt for John from Nike since he's an athlete. :]
