We are collecting work on the theme fireworks in any form for our first print issue and gallery event. (deadline, FEB 1, 2008)
Fireworks in terms of the incendiary as entertainment. The destructive as a source of awe. Fire works, but how does it work? What is the mission of the flammable? Or: the harnessed explosive, how do you co-opt destruction for a gentler purpose...or fun? Something like that...

There are no restrictions on the type of submission: writing object installation image video clothing song and physical events.

As the earth's crust hardened, a gaseous by-product called Explorsion was released into the earth's atmosphere. For a long while, this was the only thing on earth. But, then, probably, Explorsion took on more complicated shapes, such as carnivorous plants, dinosaurs and the tongue. Scientists believe that Explorsion manifests itself after hours of karaoke. Sometimes, maybe you, yourself, are Explorsion. Seen from above, or under a microscope, Explorsion seems to have a greenish glow...or blue or purple or red. Most recently, Explorsion was sighted as a magazine or as an event or, hopefully, as a household name. If you're not careful, Explorsion will come into your room while you sleep and spray you with a hose.
