I have been back from chicago for a while, but have yet to get any film developed.
So on to more impressive news....Michael Phleps and the american men's swimming team, if any of you witnessed the 4X100 relay last night you know what i am talking about. this was the greatest race the world has seen. that is just my opinion, tell me what you think of not only the race but michael and his dream to surpass mark spitz.
I'm headed for chicago to enjoy well-deserved vacation. hittin' the beach and the streets of downtown. I'm excited and will have pictures when i get back.
School starts officially in 31 days and it's the big time now...

It has been almost two weeks since the iPhone 3G was released to the public, and it is still almost impossible to get one. I for one am getting pretty sick of all the hype, it is just a phone people, I do admit that it is very well designed and works well too. However, it is not that much improved from it predecessor. Which, by the way, is selling on eBay for three, four, five hundred dollars; I even saw one going for one hundred dollars and the screen was completely shattered. I don't know about anyone else but I think that is pretty crazy.
Tell me what you think of the iPhone hype. Can't get enough? Or are you sick of it like me?
I went to the Des Moines Art Festival this past Sunday, and I had a great time and came across a few artists who really grabbed my attention with their great work.
The first one I have to mention is Xavier Nuez, a photographer. His series, "Alleys and Fire Escapes", really caught my attention. He went to various cities taking pictures late at night of the crummiest alleys and the like. However, the most interesting thing about the photos is the drastic colored lighting that Nuez uses. Pinks, blues, greens, reds, all pop on the dark gloomy setting of late night alley ways. I went back to his both after I had walked through the entire park, cause I had to buy something of his. I ended up buy three small prints. They are so good and I can't wait to find somewhere to put them.
If you haven't hear about it, you must have been living under a rock. But for those who haven't, Apple is going to release the iPhone 3G in a little less than 2 weeks. The new iPhone is twice as fast, and half the price. At around $200, the iPhone 2.0 ustilizes AT&T's 3G network to surf the web at almost 3 times faster than the pervious model.
