I love your polaroid 600 b/w... they fade into the forgotten as does our beloved medium. ephemeral and more beautiful for it.

I woke up at 4am and drove for 3 hours to Pennsylvania on Sunday.
Trying to visit an abandoned school. Ended up getting busted, and have no recent photos. :(

I did do some editing for one of my favorite songs.
I used clips from one of my favorite artists/directors Kenneth Anger.

Embedded Media
The song is by my favorite band, Dandi Wind.
She said she might meet up with me at the end of this month to shoot some music videos in some of my favorite abandoned places.
I think that my life would be complete after that. haha.

I did get two Holga shots back from the lab:

I'm also looking into the fuji instax instant films.
I didn't want to do it, but I might try to hack the film for SX-70.

I bought a lomo fisheye camera a couple years ago and it broke after shooting one roll of film. For the longest time, I hated lomography for it's overpriced cameras and the annoying scene kids that seemed to follow.

However, the more I think about it, the more I seem to appreciate what lomography is doing. It's keeping analog photography ALIVE. In a film-dying world. They continue to release new cameras, new lenses, new tricks etc... which keeps it's users wanting more.... thus, keeping a decent market for film alive.

Not too long ago lomography brought back the Diana camera with a removable lens for pinhole. I got one as soon as I could. Last week, lomography released a super wide angle lens and a close up lens kit. I bought one of them.

While the price of these items often don't coincide with the quality, I still bought them. I wish that I would have spent the extra money to support Polaroid at the time instead of hunting on ebay all the time. Polaroid would have still discontinued all of their films, but at least I would have felt like I supported the making of film when it was possible.

It's a sad world young ones are growing into. Until recently, I've begun to feel old, or more of a realization of my past. Everything is digital; no cassettes, CD, VHS, simplistic video games, with crappy sounds, and film. I guess those things are considered more modern than I can imagine at my age, but I think we're the end of an era here, and it scares me a little.

I'm not sure what the point of this blog was really. I think I'm just bored.
But if you haven't seen the new lenses for the Diana + camera, here is more info!

No one plays the leadership role at work.
I go in each day and find something to occupy my t9 hour shift.
That place makes me feel worthless.
I feel like eggs.
