Born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1969, Sikander went on to study at the National College of the Arts in Pakistan. She has since then won many awards and has established herself in the art scene as a talented artist specializing in Indian and Persian miniature paintings. Sikander has expanded her miniature paintings to wall murals and installations.
This kind of art takes a lot of technical skill and patience, but underneath all this technical art, Sikander was able to add her own emotion and feelings to the form, including the exploration of her own religion, Muslim, and others such as Hindu. Sikander will usually explore religion through her artwork by combining religious symbols.

Amy Stein is a talented photographer from Washington and now living in New York. Her work is often quite satirical and witty. Her work explored the evolving isolation within our community and environment, which is why a lot of her work is often suburban and utilizes the use of space.
In here latest collection titled 'Domesticated', Stein explored the idea of humans ruining the world and animals one day ruling it. It is fascinating to look at Amy's work, because of the different look at the world that we currently living in. Some perceptions are sad and others are sweet.
Toko are a two person company living in Sydney, Australia but hailing from Rotterdam, Netherlands. They have to be my personal favorite designers at the moment, they are inspirational and talented ( a great mix). Eva Dijkstra and Michael Lugmayr the two members of Toko, recently spoke at a design conference in Sydney, they explained the way they create and the difference between Sydney and the Netherlands. The Netherlands are known for simple, clean crisp designs and this is apparent while looking at Toko's designs.
The have created posters, amazing typography, websites and signs, always bringing a sense of vibrancy and colour, but also structure and line. Each peice of their design is unique and unusual, which makes it very exciting to look through a portfolio of their work.
Coco is an illustrator who also happens to have a big passion for fashion.
He spent five years in Paris studying fine arts in and now creates beautiful and delicate drawings for publications such as Nylon and Vogue. He finds his inspiration to create his designs through fashion capitals of the world such as London and Paris. From his designs, Cocopit then creates wallpaper, drawings for magazines and prints.
Coco began his design career because friends of his in the fashion industry wanted the illustrations for lookbooks, websites and magazines. When creating his works, he doesnt start off by using sketchbooks, he uses more old fashioned techniques such as painting, drawing and ceramics. While he does mix a lot of techniques in his design works, the ultimate outcome he aims for is minimalism which is what makes the works so successful.
Ye Rin Mok is a photographer that was born in the lovely land of Seoul and now lives and works in the busy and stylish Los Angeles. Ye Rin's work has a great contract between empty space and chaos. She uses her subjects in interesting and unusual positions.
Her photographs are simple but still hold a strong story to them, the simplicity helps to add a sort of solemn feeling to her photographs. The colours in her photographs range from soft earthy tones to bright bold colours, the lines and composition are exquisit and the models often hold a very nice posture. Her photographs are beautiful to look at and make you ponder what the subject is thinking.
I will choose a couple of my favourite art blogs to share with everyone once in a while, because sometimes there are these amazingly talented people, but they have not had the chance to exhibit or publish there work around the world (yet). But these people appear to have talent to me, so I'd love to share them with you.
Beautiful, feminine, innocent and raw. Camille Vivier's photographs capture a candid look at life. They express an image that looks as if you are peeking into someones personal world, and they have no idea. Camille started taking photographs at the age of 18, for her, she grew up seeing magazines as a great medium for expression (mags such as i-D and the Face) so naturally that lead her to want to photograph.
Camille takes her photographs as if she is capturing stories or characters in a book. She is inspired by the composition of props in film and theater, so she takes this admiration in order to decide how she will compose the subjects of her work. When she photographs people, Camille seems to view them as silent and frozen, when she photographs animals, she focuses on their eyes. Her way of seeing, is captured in her photos and tells a story of mystery and secrets
