In an era where big business is more and more powerful, Jeff Klein has been on the side of consumers. He exposed discriminatory prescription drug pricing by major drug store chains. He authored the successful legislation to create the “Do-Not-Call†registry in New York State. And he fought for more accountability in our government, uncovering after 9/11 that some of the state’s largest cities were not in compliance with water supply safety and security standards.
As Senator for the 34th district, Jeff Klein will fight for adequate funding for education, expand access to healthcare and prescription drugs, and reform the strangling rules of the Legislature that makes New York's government less and less responsive to ordinary citizens.
