Jeffrion L. Aubry, Democrat-Liberal, for the 35th A.D. of Queens County was elected to The New York State Assembly in the General Election on November 3, 1992.

Assemblyman Aubry was the former Director of Economic Development for the Borough President's Office of Queens. He held the positions for six years. Mr. Aubry was the Queens representative to the Economic Development Corporation of the City of New York and at York College. Included in his responsibilities was the monitoring of economic development and employment agencies in Queens County and the implementation of a county wide economic development plan. The Assemblyman also served on the District Mana gement Association for all Business Improvement Districts in Queens.

Assemblyman Aubry is a member of The New York State Black and Puerto Rican Legislative Caucus, Inc., 3rd Vice Chair of The New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican/Hispanic Task Force, a member of the Medicaid Working Group, and is now serving on the Standing Committees on Aging, Cities, Commerce, Industry and Economic Development, Governmental Employees, Housing and Social Services. Sub-committees are Minority Elderly and Manufacturing.

Assemblyman Aubry was formerly employed by Elmcor Youth and Adult Activities, and not-for-profit multi-service corporation, for sixteen years and held various positions including Executive Director his last five years with the Corporation. While at Elmco r, the Assemblyman initiated new economic development, housing and capital development programs.

He also worked as a teacher for Eastern New Mexico University, a consultant for Massand Associates, an engineering firm and Director of the North Shore Fair Housing Center.

Assemblyman Aubry attended P.S. 92, Saint Gabriel School, Monsignor McClancy High School, Saint Augustines High School and was awarded Bachelor of Arts from the College of Santa Fe in 1969. He was inducted into the Elmcor Youth and Adult Activities' Hal l of Fame and received a Community Service award from the New York State Black and Puerto Rican Legislative Caucus, Inc., The East Elmhurst/Corona Civic Association Award, Key Women Award, Concerned Citizens Award, Unit Citation LaGuardia Re-development Program Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Man of the Year Award from The Wheelchair Classic and Recently, received the Community service Award from the Lefrak City Junior Tennis League.
