Featured Projects
Lauren Davies is a San Francisco artist whose mixed media projects explore our often-troubled relationship to the natural world. With an interest in odd vocations and unusual hobbies, her projects have focused on a variety of topics ranging from natural history museum dioramas to correspondence course taxidermy studies and pedigreed dog breeding. The unifying element found in Davies’ eclectic subject matter is an avid interest in researching obscure subject matter and imagery, coupled with an obsessive interest in odd materials and an underlying dark humor.
